Program Director – Shari Taylor
Welcome Shari
We’re happy to welcome Shari Taylor to the WJS Team as the new program director for the Bonnyville disability programs. Shari comes to us with extensive knowledge of PDD programs and has worked in children’s programs in Saskatchewan.
We’ve asked Shari to engage in a short Q & A, and here it is…
Q: What’s your new role at WJS?
I’m the new Program Director for PDD services in Bonnyville and Cold Lake.
Q: What do you think makes WJS different from other organizations?
There is a very relaxed, comfortable feeling from everyone in the organization. I have never felt this welcomed when starting a new position. For a larger company that spans three provinces, it has a very “family” feel to it.
Q: Why did you want to work with WJS Canada?
I wanted the challenge and room to grow and felt that WJS was the company to best offer it to me. Everyone I spoke with and everything I read before coming on board was very positive.
Q: What’s the most important part of your role?
Ensuring that the individuals we serve live their lives to the fullest. Making sure that staff are supportive, positive role models and passionate advocates for our individual’s.
Q: Will you share something about you that we may not already know?
I own a house on Marble Mountain in Cape Breton, NS that I hope to someday retire to.
Q: What do you do outside of work?
I read, spend time outdoors gardening, I go for walks, I listen to music, I spend time with friends and my husband.
