Langley Programs Winter Hamper

Christmas is over and the decorations are packed away, there’s no more turkey leftovers, and the holiday pounds are lost (ahem!). However, the Christmas glow continues, even though February is almost over (and yes, if you have a Christmas story you’d like to share, it’s never too late!).

Langley Programs Winter Hamper

Two Langley programs donated food, games, and toys to support a Langley family in need this past December. Coordinated by Amy McColm (Home to Stay) and Katherine Vandermeer (Home Share), this was their 3rd year spearheading the drive for donations.

The family consisted of a Grandma raising her two grandchildren. The young girl asked for the Littlest Pet Shop and Shopkins and her brother requested Lego, Xbox 360, and games like Mindcraft. We know they weren’t disappointed.

Grandma gratefully received food and gift cards from the many staff who made donations. Thank you, all.

“We plan on being back next year. For us it gives the season meaning,” said Kathy and Amy.
