Kenora Attendance Centre / ACE Program
A new term has started here at the ACE/AC. We have some new faces, as well as a student who returned to us from a semester in the high school. Two of our clients are on track to graduate and we’ve been having a lot of success here both academically and with programs.
In one week we had 40 lessons handed in! We’ve been cooking up a storm with our new pressure cooker, trying lots of new soup and shredded taco recipes.
We’ve introduced our students to the joys of knitting, making scarves and have started to learn how to use looms to make hats. We’ve also spent a lot of time painting, being creative with pompoms, and continuing to learn Aboriginal beading methods with dream-catchers and beaded lanyards.
We are in the midst of planning our March field trip to the Manitoba Museum and Science Gallery, and look forward to continuing to nurture our client’s growth and success.
