Update from Youth Horizons

Just as we have seen the green of summer hastily change to autumn’s selection of red’s and yellow’s, we have seen lots of changes here at Youth Horizons. Some staff have taken their leave and will go on to new journeys in their lives, and we have received a few new bright individuals to join our team.

The youth in the house have had their ups and downs (just as we all do) but their enthusiasm and dedication to themselves and their community is reflected in incredible successes including; obtaining jobs, applying for independent living, connecting to community resources, and habitually attending school. On top of that the youth have demonstrated their talented artistic selves through drawing, music, and taking the initiative to decorate the house in all kinds of spooky décor.

We truly embraced the Halloween spirit during October here at Youth Horizons, from embarking on an adventure through a haunted house to rummaging around a pumpkin patch.

As the cold weather creeps up we expect continuous change, including new challenges and successes to look forward to – and of course some holiday tunes and a few hot chocolates.
