RAK! RAK! RAK!
RAK! RAK! RAK!
Calling all WJS Canada Staff,
It’s that time of year, time for our annual Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) campaign.
WJS Canada makes a difference in the lives of the people we serve, and the communities we serve in, and during our Random Acts of Kindness campaign, we kick it into to overdrive.
Random acts of kindness are a surefire way to make those around you feel good, they are contagious, and they spread quickly.
WJS Canada is challenging YOU to participate in this year’s RAK campaign. RAKs are meant to be anonymous, but we also want to inspire people to pay it forward. Every time you carry out a RAK encourage the recipient to perform their own act of kindness. After you have completed your RAK, email Debbie Olinyk (dolinyk@wjscanada.com) and tell us what you did. Your RAK will be added to our total and help us reach our goal. If you were on the receiving end of a RAK – let us know about that too!
RAKs don’t have to be done individually either, get your program together and perform a RAK for your community.
We’ll share an inspiring list of all your fabulous kind acts in a future newsletter or via our website.
Our next newsletter comes out in December – so let’s look all for opportunities to perform Random Acts of Kindness in our communities.
THE “SPONTANEOUS” RAK
A few ideas…
- – Help someone struggling with their shopping; – Look for someone to pass your unexpired parking ticket to; – Buy a homeless person lunch
- – If you get exceptional service, tell the manager how wonderful your server was!
THE “PLANNED” RAK
How about…
- Sending a book or a card to a friend;
- Look behind you! Buy a coffee for the next person in line; pay the bus fare for someone in line
…the list is endless!
Be sure to let us know how you did! Timmies cards will be sent out from HR to those that bring back a story and/or a WJS story.
In response and thank you for all of the Random Acts of Kindness you do, WJS Canada will respond with its own RAK and pay it forward.
To help you on your way to RAK RAK RAKing, here are some helpful ideas… and here are more… and even more…
