Payroll Administrator – Roya Hajizadeh

Roya Hajizadeh is a member of the WJS Canada HR Team and works out of the Maple Ridge, BC office. We’ve asked Roya to participate in a short Q&A to help you get to know her. Here is what Roya had to say…

 

Q: What’s your role at WJS?

My primary role is payroll administrator, but I am learning to backfill for colleagues in other HR areas.

Q: What do you think makes WJS different from other organizations?

I am part of an amazing team.

Q: Why did you want to work with WJS Canada?

Working for WJS has helped me grow personally and professionally.

Q: What’s the most important part of your role?

Processing bi-weekly payroll. Everyone wants to be paid for their hard work and it is my pleasure to be able to do this every other week. 😊

Q: Will you share something about you that we may not already know?

I binge watch TV series 😉 My favorites are “Suits” and Turkish soaps.

Q: What do you do outside of work?

I am a member of Baha’i faith and assist with organizing our meetings, celebrations and community activities.
