Chantel Carmichael is a member of the WJS Canada HR Team and works out of the Maple Ridge, BC office. We’ve asked Chantel to participate in a short Q&A to help you get to know her. Here is what Chantel had to say…
Q: What’s your role at WJS?
BC Human Resources Manager – providing a full spectrum of services relating to labour relations, interpretation of the collective agreement, WCB, Benefits: Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, and Criminal Record Screenings to the British Columbia sector.
Q: What do you think makes WJS different from other organizations?
The ability to be flexible and implement change to meet new and developing clients’ and employees’ needs.
Q: Why did you want to work with WJS Canada?
WJS Canada’s values and ethics aligned with my personal goals for growth and development.
Q: What’s the most important part of your role?
Providing a service to support employees through their careers at WJS Canada.
Q: Will you share something about you that we may not already know?
Volunteering at the Ride to Conquer Cancer each August to cheer and fund raise for the cause.
Q: What do you do outside of work?
Spend quality time with family and pets.
[This past weekend was the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and our very own Caroline Bonesky rode. She wanted to make sure we give “a big shout out to Chantel who provided great traffic control in the pouring rain at a very busy pit stop!”]
